The Singaraja city tour will start at 10 am and finish around 2 pm. We will visit the unique Lontar manuscript library museum to see the ‘Lontars’ (manuscripts made from palm leaves) and books that deal with various aspects of human life such as religion, architecture, philosophy, genealogy, homeopathy, black magic, etc.
Afterwards you go straight to the Royal Palace of Singaraja to learn the history of Buleleng. You will find numbers of pictures of the kings (Raja) of Buleleng and their families. Then you go to the Berdikari weaving factory, a small heritage factory where they have a small number of weaving factories which still produce local fabrics with traditional motives in the old fashioned (handcrafted) way (Ekat). Once you have seen the factories, you move further to the village of Sawan. In this village, people are well known for their handcrafting bronze music instruments such as gongs.
